Ahead of November 5th 2024 Election, United States Incumbent President, Joe Biden will tonight at the CNN Headquarters in Atlanta Georgia engage his predecessor, Donald Trump in a fiercest Presidential debate in the history of United States of America.
The two Presidential debates sponsored by CNN and ABC, the first comes up tonight, June 27th 2024, while the second debate is scheduled for September 10, 2024.
The first Presidential debate tonight between Biden and Trump will be moderated by CNN duo of Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.
Candidates from FOUR different Political Parties will contest the November Presidential Election across the Fifty States in United States.
Current US President, Joe Biden will be the standard bearer for Democratic Party, former US President, Donald Trump will be running on the platform of the Republican Party, Robert F Kennedy is contesting as an Independent Candidate, while Chase Oliver is running under the Libertarian Party. Both Kennedy and Oliver will not be participating in the debate.
800 Reporters representing 72 Media Houses from 75 Countries will be on ground to cover the first presidential debate described as the fiercest in the history of United States.
In line with tonight’s debate format as agreed by the Campaign Team of both Candidates, there would be no opening statements. No use of notes. No Studio audience. There would be no interaction with campaign staff. Microphones will be turned on when it is time for each candidate to speak during alloted time and should not interrupt each other during the debate.
The duration for tonight’s Presidential debate is 90 minutes and part of the rules is that moderators will use all available tools at their disposal to enforce timing and ensure a civilized discussion.
To qualify for the participation of tonight’s debate, Candidates must have fulfilled the requirements outlined in Article 11, Section 1 of the Constitution of the United States; File a statement of Candidacy with the Federal Election Commission; a candidate name must appear on a sufficient number of state ballots to reach the 270 electoral vote threshold to win the presidency prior to the eligiblity deadline, agree to accept the rules and format of the debate. And receive at least 15 per cent in four separate national polls of registered or likely votes that meet CNN’s standard of reporting.
