The Lagos State Government through its office of Public – Private Partnership, has shortlisted three bidders for the construction of the Fourth Mainland Bridge in Lagos. The the three were selected from lists of 30 Companies that bidded for the projects. The s Special Adviser to the Governor on PPP, Mr. Ope George made the disclosure during a press conference. He said that the three bidders shortlisted for the RFP Stage 11 are Mota – Engil (Nigeria and Africa ) / CCCC&CRBC Consort, CGGC-CGC Joint ventures and CCECC& CRCCIG Consortium. George explained that the fourth mainland bridge project was a Public – Private Partnership transport infrastructure development, which included the construction and operation of a greenfield tolled road and bridge with a design speed of 120km per hour including the development of adjacent real estate. He stated that the bridge on completion will become the second largest in Africa, featuring three toll plazas, nine interchanges, a 4.5 lagoon bridge and an eco friendly environment. The proposed construction of the bridge is expected to span 38 kilometres long, starting from Abraham Adesanya Ajah on the Eti – Osa — Lekki — Epe Corridor, towards lagoon shoreline of Langbasa, Baiyeku to Itamaga in Ikorodu
