This Year’s edition of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Lagos State Information Chapel will hold on Tuesday, 19th December, 2023 at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Central Business District, Alausa, Ikeja by eleven in the morning.
The “THEME” of the 2023 Christmas Carol Service is “THE COMFORTER” and tagged ‘We Bond, We Praise, We Merry and seen as a season of celebration and thanksgiving.
In an interview with Everest News, the chairman of this year’s Organising committee, Mrs Olayemi Abdul, who is also a Deputy Director in the Ministry, said the theme of this year’s edition THE COMFORTER was chosen because Jesus Christ in the scripture was referred to as the comforter because He teaches, protect, guide and strengthen US when we are weak and down.
She said, the programme of the Carol service includes the rendition of different Christmas Songs by the Ministry Choral. Bible reading on the birth, time and life of Jesus Christ and lessons to be learnt.
She disclosed that the Christmas Carol of Nigeria Union of Journalists Lagos State Information Chapel is a major yearly event organised every December for members to felicitate, extend love , hands of friendship and exchange gifts among one another.
Staffs of the Ministry will most importantly used the service to expressed their gratitude to Almighty God for his faithfulness, guidance and protection through the year and celebrate the gift of life of Jesus Christ coming in form of flesh.
