The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu affirmed that the diversity of Nigeria remains a great strength and that it is by living in peace and love that the great potentials of the nation would be actualised. Senator Oluremi Tinubu disclosed this at the disbursement of relief and resettlement packages to 500 displaced victims of Communal Clashes and Conflict in six Local Government of Plateau State. The First Lady in a statement issued by her Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Busola Kukoyi Urged all Nigerians to embrace dialogue, tolerance, and understanding as we work together to build a more harmonious Society. We should also remembered that our our diversity is our strength, and together we can overcome the challenges that threatens our Unity. “To the affected families, I want you to know that you are not alone on this journey to recovery. We stand with you and extend our hands in Solidarity, offering not only financial support but also our prayers as you return to your homes and communities in safety and peace”. It was an opportunity for the First Lady to reemphasized the need for food production in line with President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in food production. In her remarks, the Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang commended the First Lady demonstrative motherhood. He noted that despite the State being governed by an opposition party, Senator Oluremi Tinubu looked beyond this to bring relief and succour to the grieving families. “The Governor stated that for the First Lady to be physically present at the presentation ceremony tells a wonderful story that after politicking, we must face governance as governance is all about the people”. He also assured her that they will supervised the judicious use of the money and it is actually used for the purpose it is meant for. A total of 500 Families drawn from Mangu, Riyom, Barkin – Ladi, Bassa, Bokos and Jos South Local Government areas got one million Naira each to enable them return to their Communities and use it to rebuild their homes.
