The Lagos State Cooperative College has assured Students of the Institution of getting high quality academic programmes delivery with the huge Investments in Infrastructure and professional personnel the college possessed. In a statement by the College Chief Public Affairs Officer, Mr. Hassan Jamiu stated that the Provost of the College, Mr. Akorede Ojomu made the assertion at the 3rd Convocation Ceremony For Students of National Diploma and Professional Diploma of the Institution. He said, “to this end, we have remained relentless in our continued investment in critical learning Infrastructure to secured that competitive edge that would make our College one of the preferred destinations in qualitative Cooperative education globally. “Our team of academic staff are thorough bred professional with years of experience in Cooperative education, research and practice.” We equally boast of physical and virtual learning environment that are regularly being enhanced to deepen and enrich your learning experience “. “We believe education exist to promote humanity and as such our educational curriculum has been tailored to guarantee all round educational development of our students to avail them the skill sets essential for survival in the 21st century economy.” He therefore called on the newly admitted students to live up to the desired expectation of the Institution in their intellectual capability to learn and undertake their chosen course of study. No doubt, your enrollment as the students of this college clearly attests to our belief in your intellectual and moral suitability to undertake your course of study. It is now up to you to live out this altruism and stay true to matriculation pledge through your adherence to the rules and regulations of the college forward “. The Chairman of the Governing Council of the Institution, Mr. Oyebode Raji, also admonished the matriculants to remain focus on the path they signed with the College, which was to pursue academic experience in becoming a professional in their chosen field that would better their life and impact on the society at large. He said “Starting a life in tertiary education is conscious decision, a decision that you have to live with for a better part of your life. You must have thought of of something, you have reflected within you and engaged the advise of your parents to say my next line of pursuit is in the field of studying Cooperative subjects and related matters which must have ensure engagement between you and your parents and together have resolved to pursuit that which you have in mind. Having done that, what I implore you in the next two years, is to hold firm to that resolution so that you don’t want your parents to have any regret of accepting to play along with you that you have chosen that path as a career either academic or professional pursuit of life because some of you will end as a professional to impact same knowledge on coming generation. In those two years, I want you to have a path with College that you face your studied and be adequately guided by the professional personnel in the college.
