In a deft move ahead the 2023 Presidential election, the APC Vice Presidential Candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, in company of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and the Deputy Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman went a tour round Hausa Communities in Lagos this morning, where thay canvassed support for their Party’s Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
From the the Popular Alaba Rago Market, to the commissioning of the first Arewa Community APC Campaign office at Palm Grove, Lagos Mainland, and homage to the Sarkin Fulani of Lagos, HRH Alhaji (Dr.) Mohammed A. Bambado II in Surulere afterwards.
Sen. Shettima expressed delight and thanked them for the warm reception accorded to the Governors.
The Former Governor of Borno State spoke on the importance of the next election, and how Asiwaju Tinubu’s love to the Hausa community and the North is sacrosanct.
He stated that Lagos is home to them, and no one should deceive them, saying Asiwaju Tinubu remained closest to them all as against all the candidates contesting.
On four occasions, Senator Kashim Shettima, has explained how the National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tinubu, acted as a “saviour” for former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, and the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
He said, “It is pertinent to mention that when former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, was harassed, brutalised and chased out of the PDP, even some of our northern brothers were treating him as a pariah, it was Asiwaju Bola Tinubu that provided him with a sanctuary and platform to contest the 2007 Presidential election.
“Again, four years later, he provided the same platform to another harassed northerner, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, to contest for the presidency under the ACN. Without the block support of the South-West, it would have been difficult for President Buhari to emerge as the candidate of the APC. Tinubu worked for Buhari in 2015 and in 2019.
“Now it is payback time. We should honour our pledge and commitment Most importantly, vote for APC from top to bottom. Vote for Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Same thing for the Senate, Reps. etc”, the APC Vice Presidential Candidate implored the community.
